Prerequisites:
College Algebra with Trigonometry

Purpose:
This course is designed to provide the student with the mathematical foundation skills in preparation for AP Calculus.

Description:
This course emphasizes the meaningful development of concepts and the application of mathematics to the solution of realistic problems. Topics include an extension of Trigonometry, with emphasis on trigonometric identities and the graphs of trigonometric functions. Additional topics include: polynomial, rational, and logarithmic functions, an introduction to limits and derivatives, and additional enhancements in statistics and probability. Graphing technology is integrated throughout all course content.

Requirements:
Grades will be assigned based on daily activities, homework, notebook, projects, quizzes, and tests. The final exam will be worth 10% of the student’s grade.
