Prerequisites:
Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry and the recommendation of the grade 11 mathematics teacher and/or administration.

Purpose:
This course is designed to refine mathematics skills needed to be effective in problem solving and to foster a firm understanding of practical mathematics.

Description:
This course prepares students to use their math skills to compare and analyze mathematics applications. Topics include: algebraic concepts; plane and solid geometry; right triangle trigonometry; interpretation of data including formulas, graphs and tables; statistics and probability; and personal finance. This course may include support for students to complete the Project Based Assessment (PBA) as required for graduation by the PA Department of Education.

Requirements:
Grades will be assigned based on daily activities, homework, notebook, projects, quizzes, and tests. The final exam will be worth 10% of the student’s grade.
