Prerequisites:
Algebra II and Geometry

Purpose:
This course is designed to give students a firm understanding of problem solving using the language, symbols, and algorithms of algebra. It is designed for all students needing a thorough pre-calculus algebra and trigonometric background.

Description:
This course emphasizes linear, quadratic, and polynomial functions, as well as trigonometric functions; algebraic and trigonometric models and their graphs. Graphing technology is integrated throughout all course content. Additional topics include: trigonometric identities, the unit circle, inverse trigonometric functions, the sine and cosine laws, and additional enhancements in statistics and probability.

Requirements:
Grades will be assigned based on daily activities, homework, notebook, projects, quizzes, and tests. The final exam will be worth 10% of the student’s grade.
