Purpose:
This course is designed to focus on historical events and people in the United States 1840-1950.

Description:
This course in early American history examines the United States during the formation of the union and the Civil War through the Civil War. Designed to examine the Presidential administrations from 1840-1939, this course will focus on the president and events during each administration. The final course unit will focus on the Constitution.

Requirements:
Grades will be assigned based on daily activities, homework, quizzes, oral presentations, group work, and tests. The final exam will be worth 10% of the student’s grade.
