Purpose:
This course is designed to give students the skills and knowledge necessary to become responsible and effective citizens.

Description:
This is an introductory course in United States Government. This course covers the general concepts used to understand the United States government and American politics. The concepts studied in this course include the various institutions, groups, beliefs, and ideas that formulate, and influence the United States government and the political system in which it operates.

Requirements:
Grades will be assigned based on daily activities, quizzes, homework, tests, research projects, and classroom presentations. The final exam will be worth 10% of the student’s grade.
