Prerequisites:

A student is required to have a passing grade in his/her most recent English class.

Purpose:

This course is designed to offer instruction to those students who express an interest in learning about news writing, and digital photography.

Description:

This course devotes time to the production of the school newspaper. Through news writing assignments, they learn skills necessary for sound journalistic writing. Members of the newspaper class serve as reporters for the school newspaper and are responsible for monthly contributions to the Blue & White Star.

Requirements:

Grades will be assigned based on Extensive writing (journalistic), interviews, stories for the newspaper, ability to use the computer, and various shared responsibilities by staff members.
