Purpose:

This course is designed to foster the development of effective communication skills.

Description:

The primary focus of this course will be the development and application of reading and writing skills, grammar usage and mechanics skills, spelling skills, and public speaking skills. Our primary resources are our weekly spelling lists, grammar exercises, the literature textbook and PSSA practice exercises.

Requirements:

Students are evaluated using essay tests, projects, various reading and writing assignments, discussion, book reports, quizzes, and a final exam worth 10% of the final grade.
