This course is designed with a focus on the ever-changing technology of food preparation and current nutritional trends. Students will learn basic nutrition, meal planning and budgeting, and advanced food preparation techniques.

This course focuses on planning healthy meals that are attractive and satisfying as well. The students will learn to budget and prepare for a variety of group sizes. They will learn more advanced techniques and methods that will bring variety and zest into their cooking and baking styles.

Grades will be assigned based on the development of a binder that includes nutrition, meal planning strategies, and information for healthy living. Additionally, an entrepreneurship project is required.
