This course is designed for students interested in a basic knowledge of kitchen planning, organization, safety and sanitation.

Description:
Students will learn to plan and organize a kitchen. They will use basic cooking methods and preparation techniques to prepare a variety of foods. With the aid of MyPyramid.gov, students will create a healthy living plan that will be based on their specific needs and desires, and prepare foods based on that plan. During the course, students will be required to produce projects using these skills and complete a final project assigned by the instructor.
