Prerequisites:
Advised to have previous food skills.

Purpose:
This course is designed to give students a foundation in how culture, customs and foods intertwine, and influence each other. They will also learn how to prepare some key examples in each country.

Description:
A variety of regions within the United States will be explored as to how certain foods came to those regions. We will also explore cultures, customs and foods of other foreign countries around the world like China, Italy, France, Spain and Germany.

Requirements:
Grades will be assigned based on assessments, in-class labs, presentation of foods and research on other cultures and customs of various countries.
