Purpose:
This course is designed to teach the students the importance of setting goals in their lives and how to create and carry out those goals. Emphasis is placed on the influence of personal values in choosing these goals and the need for good decision-making skills to facilitate these goals.

Description:
The course prepares students to first recognize and evaluate their values, then use them to make wise decisions concerning their present and future goals. An emphasis is placed on good decision making skills, and the interconnection of all decisions in both the short term and long term development of their lives. It stresses the need to use good listening skills, and gives them the opportunity to consider the major decisions they will be making in the next couple of years that will be life altering including education, drugs etc.

Requirements:
Students are evaluated using homework, class project, class participation.
