Purpose:
This course is designed to give students a variety of experiences and exercises to help them to establish values and goals as related to the family they will one day parent.

Description:
Using a discussion packet, film clips, and student centered discussions, each student begins to develop what they believe will be the best model for their future family. We also develop an understanding of consumerism and spending habits and study good nutritional habits and how to prepare such foods using good sanitation and safety skills.

Requirements:
Grades will be assigned based on writing a personal budget, an essay on their future family, and other projects. They are also required to work in the kitchen following safety and sanitation criterion.
