Prerequisites:
To continue in the honors program a student is required to successfully completed Honors Biology I with a grade of “B”. To transfer into the honors program, a student must attain an “A” in Biology as the final grade, and the recommendation of the Biology I teacher.

Purpose:
This class is designed for college-bound students and will include topics including the study of specific animal/plant groups, evolution, and classification.

Description:
This course focuses on organisms, biodiversity, plant and animal systems, and relationships between organisms and their environments with a review of topics discussed in Biology I. Students will be doing some type of special project for each unit covered during the semester.

Requirements:
Grades will be assigned based on daily work, homework, research projects, oral presentations, dissections, labs, quizzes and tests. The final exam will be worth 10% of the student’s grade.
