Prerequisites:
To continue in the honors program, a student must successfully complete Honors Chemistry I with a grade of “B” or higher. To transfer into the honors program, a student must attain an “A” in Chemistry I as the final grade, and the recommendation of the Chemistry I teacher.

This course is designed to provide the college-bound student with a more in depth study of inorganic chemistry and introduces organic chemistry.

Description:
This is a higher level Chemistry course for the college bound high school student. The course involves rigorous AP and Pre-AP work in the laboratory and class with an additional research project. The class has an introduction to Organic Chemistry, Thermodynamics and Kinetics work that is AP and college level.

Grades may be assigned based on daily work, homework, research projects, oral presentations, labs, quizzes and tests. The final exam will be worth 10% of the student’s grade.
