This course designed to be equivalent to a first year college level Chemistry course. This course covers all of the major topics of the general course, but is extremely problem oriented and rigorous.

AP Chemistry is a comprehensive course that covers all chemistry content areas. Problem solving is a major concern in the course. Equilibrium, Rate of Reaction, Stoichiometry, and Thermodynamics are the major topics that are covered.

A pre-class assignment must be completed along with regular laboratory and course assignments. Grades may be assigned based on daily work, homework, research projects, oral presentations, labs, quizzes and tests. All students will be required to take the AP Exam, a final exam may be given at the discretion of the teacher.
