PAINTING II
Grades: 9-12 Elective 1 Semester Credit: 0.5
Prerequisites: Painting I – passing grade
Purpose: This course is designed to further advance students’ skills in a variety of painting techniques and concepts.
Description: This course explores a wide range of painting media such as acrylic paint, mixed media, watercolor, tempera, and water based oil paint. Students will focus more on conceptual thought-process and design such as advanced composition, texturizing, and knife painting on both traditional and nontraditional painting surfaces.
Requirements: Grades will be assigned based on originality, technical ability, planning, progress, effort, and class participation.
