Grade Level: 7 and 8 Elective



Purpose:

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to grow in their musical knowledge and experience, and to develop maximum musical potential through participation.

Description:

This course teaches students to read and sing in 2, 3, and 4 parts through a variety of music literature. Correct posture and vocal technique are encouraged toward realization of full musical potential. Students will have the opportunity to audition for County Chorus.

Requirements:

Students are expected to improve their sight-reading ability, utilize proper vocal technique, and put forth the necessary effort to develop maximum musical potential. Attendance and performance at public concerts will be expected.
