This course is designed as an art studio class that utilizes both digital tools and traditional art-making tools as the medium for artistic expression.

Description:
Students will learn and utilize the Adobe Photoshop CS6 program to design and create art on the computer. Students will also utilize a digital camera, Internet, scanner and a laser color printer. Hands on traditional art can also be scanned into the computer and manipulated. Traditional art-making tools such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramic tools will be used as well in exploration of a graphic design.

Students will be required to create original art through sources such as photographs, self-made art, and found images. Grades will be assigned based on technical ability, planning, progress, effort, and class participation.
