Purpose:

This course is designed to introduce students to painting.

Description:

This course explores a wide range of painting media such as acrylic paint, mixed media, watercolor, tempera, and water based oil paint. Students will work with concepts such as color theory, composition, texturizing, and knife painting on both traditional and nontraditional painting surfaces.

Requirements:

Grades will be assigned based originality, technical ability, planning, progress, effort and class participation.
