Purpose:
This course is designed to introduce the students to basic accounting vocabulary, forms, reports, as well as how to utilize properaccounting procedures, analyze data, and employ fundamental mathematical skills to develop a basic understanding of general accepted accounting principles.

Description:
This is an elective class open to students in grades 9-12 and is recommended for students interested in postsecondary pursuits or pursuing entry level positions in business. The student will learn to reconcile and maintain a checking account, prepare payroll records, analyze inventory records, analyze cash transactions, journalize business transactions, post information to ledger accounts, and prepare various business reports.

Requirements:
Grades will be assigned based on a combination of assessments.
