About United Junior/Senior High School

United Junior / Senior High School, is located in Armagh, Pennsylvania and was erected in 1954. Our current building serves the communities of Armagh Borough, Brush Valley Township, Buffington Township, East Wheatfield Township, and West Wheatfield Township. Student enrollment, grades 7 through 12, is approximately 420 students.

The building has been renovated several times throughout the years. Some of the areas that were recently renovated are the guidance suite, art room, library, nurse’s suite, district office, main office, heating, air conditioning, and front entrance. This was done to ensure a safe environment that is conducive to learning.

We offer a rigorous curriculum that prepares our students to be career and college ready. Our students have the opportunity to participate in dual enrollment courses through Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Mount Aloysius, Penn Highlands Community College, Saint Francis University, and Westmoreland County Community College. A student at the high school can also take up to nine Advanced Placement courses that have been approved by the College Board.

Parents are very active as partners in the important job of educating their children. Parental support, involvement, and suggestions are welcomed by the faculty and staff.
